One project done!

I bought this cute little chair but it was kind of dirty and worn. Cleaned the upholstery and polished the wood trim and it is pretty dang cute! In fact, I love it!! Found a little stool to go in front but it needs a little more TLC!!!

Home tomorrow and the reveal of our goodies!!

I know that we have not posted our finds but here are a few of them.

Simple life of beautiful people!

Down to the last day!!

Today we went north of Jamestown, Ky and it was beautiful! One of the most interesting places we went was to an Amish community...they were making homemade ice cream powered by a horse on a treadmill, fried pies and beautiful produce!

On a lighter note!!!

As we are driving we decide to take some pictures of the barn quilts and of this beautiful church in the middle of a corn field....good idea but a bad photographer!  Note to everyone...don't put Suzanne in charge of photography!!! I kept yelling "take it" the first pic is of the barn quilt!!! Next is church!!!!

Kentucky barn quilts

One of the neatest things we saw were these Kentucky barn quilts!  They are made of wood, hung on the sides of the barns all along the countryside! They are beautiful and what a great thing to do to promote your pride in your home and state! Maybe we should do this on Texas!!

Tobacco basket friend!

Last year I wanted to buy something that is true to Tennesse so I bought a tobacco basket. The sweet little man had to tell me the history of how they were used, how much tobacco they held, etc. He also has these sticks that they used to hang the tobacco on after picking that he usually got $5 for but he gave them to me! I have the basket hanging in my living room with the sticks! Love it! Saw him today and thanked him again for it and told him how much I love it!

Clarkrange!

We went back south today to go to Clarkrange Tn to I go to our favorite place to shop! As usual, we found a few things that we couldn't live without! Old windows, an old barn door, a tourquois chest, an antique wooden box on casters that I may keep, and some other little things. No big pieces but we still managed to fill the Tahoe up!

In for the night!!

We made it to Jamestown Ky and have unhooked and locked down the trailer. Now enjoying a glass of wine and chips and salsa! Suzanne made it through the mountains and over the dam without having to get in the floor board! Kept saying "just don't look down!l. Got mad at me because she said thats she caught me looking down! Hitting it hard tomorrow, did find a really cute chair for
my living room!

Never too late!!

Finally eating lunch!!! Pulled pork sandwich, cole slaw and
Papaw's pickles!!! Sitting under the most
Beautiful trees and it is cool! Couldn't be
better

Score!!!

Now I know why this young man remembered us from last year!!! He is so nice!!!!

Waiting on our uhaul!

Waiting for staff to get to the uhaul store! Only 45 minutes late! Suzanne is going to ask if we can have the cute trailer with the little girl on the side! Somehow I think I know the answer!!!

Made it to Nashville!!

We made the trip in record time!! Kem, my brother-in-law swears we must have been air born!!! We stayed in the travel trailer that I like to call "Nichols Hilton"!!! I am blessed to have a family that always welcomes us! And I can't leave without showing you Jenny's beautiful hydrangeas!!!
